Shannon Ramos
Shannon joined DWM in 2007. As a member of the private equity team and the regional manager for Latin America, Shannon is focused on helping her Latin American MFI clients with their funding needs. Since joining DWM Shannon has helped to provide over US $90 million in debt and equity financing for Latin American MFIs. She currently serves as an alternate director of BANEX, a leading Nicaraguan microfinance bank.
Prior to joining DWM Shannon worked in investment banking at Banc of America Securities (New York) and BankBoston (Chile) as well as on the trading floor as a high yield debt analyst. Prior to joining Bank of America, Shannon was a co-founder of BuildingBlocks International, a NGO focused on placing investment banking and consulting professionals in corporate service fellowships in developing countries. The recipient of a Fulbright grant, Shannon was also a guest scholar at the Centro de Investigación del Desarrollo y la Educación (CIDE), where she authored a paper on how Chile's business-sponsored schools are serving low-income students.
Shannon received her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BA from Harvard College. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
